My husband rocks Friday

My husband rocks!

If you're interested in where this idea comes from you can visit the website athttp://honestandlasting.blogspot.com/

If you know my husband you know what a good person he is and why he rocks because of that. He is the person who if you are stranded on the side of the road he will stop and find out why. He will give you a jump. He'll give you a lift. He will even change your tire if you aren't able (we were able to enjoy a free dinner at a great restaurant here after he changed a tire for the GM!!). He is a person who will give you the shirt off his back, even if he doesn't have an undershirt on ;)

I have new examples of this every day but he happened to do a couple of things today that just made me so happy he is MY husband. I was at the pool with a g/f this afternoon and Tom called to tell me he was pulling in the driveway (it was about 5:30pm). It just so happened that the friend I was with was trying to get mulch moved from one house to hers. They don't have a truck and really don't know anyone with a truck able to do it. We knew about this earlier in the week because we were offered the mulch but didn't need it, then when my friend was offered the mulch she asked if Tom would be able to help. Tom has been working HARD all week and I hated asking him to do ANYTHING today, especially shovel mulch. When I did mention it to him I was just thinking he could get a trailer to drop off so the mulch could be loaded and he could go back by and grab it later. Not my husband. Not only did he go and help get all the mulch loaded into his truck to drop off, he unloaded the mulch AND looked at my friends car since she was having car problems. Since he is a jack of all trades, he figured out what it was and is even offering to replace the part if need be. He could have been home relaxing after a really stressful week but he chose to help someone else - how wonderful is he?

The great thing is that he doesn't do these things hoping someone will do something for him. He honestly does them because it's the right thing to do.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM.

Your hubby sounds like a very generous man! He sounds like a really good guy to have around when in need of a hand!

Hi Angelique!
What a sweetie! He sounds like my hubby... shirt off the back and all!
Someday he will become the wonderful hubby/grandpa like I have. We are so blessed to have such wonderful partners in this life aren't we?
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs, Sherry
Avery is an adorable name. I like it because it can be a girl or boy name.
