My Husband Rocks Friday

My Husband Rocks!!

After reading Christina's posts about why her huband rocks I got inspired to do the same for mine :)

Tom and I just celebrated 8 years together on June 10th and honestly, I'm more in love with him now than I was that day. He's the best husband and father I could have ever dreamed of for myself. Not only does he work so hard all day long, but when he comes home at night he's working here, too. There is no down time for him until the kids are in bed. Now, I know *I* don't have downtime until the kids are in bed, either, but he's always made sure that we are total equals at the house. From the mintute he walks in the door the kids are ON him! lol They love daddy time - it's all giggles and belly laughs when they are playing with him. And after we eat dinner and I'm doing dishes, he scoops up Cole and Avery for their baths. He gets them out, dresses them and then we each take one to put down for bed. Some nights if I'm especially busy with something else he'll put both down. And after we have the kids down it's our time. We lay on the couch and he scratches my back while I snuggle against him. It's my FAVORITE time of the day and I hate it when we're away from each other because I almost go through withdrawels!! And on most weekends he lets me sleep in while he gets up with the little ones, entertaining them and keeping them happy. He even encourages me to have girl time with my friends, while he really doesn't take time away from us - he's just the least selfish man I know. Honestly. I could go on and on and on about all the great things he does but I think I'll save them for another Friday ;)

And since this just happened Wednesday, I'm going to mention it. On Monday night he asked me if I wanted to go to a dinner with him for something work related. Of course I said sure and lined up the babysitter. Well, Wednesday night he gets home, we're getting ready to go and I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to wear and he tells me to wear whatever I want because he's taking me out, not to a dinner, but for a date. Since we had spend all week together with the kids attached to our hip he thought we needed some alone time - he made that story up because he was afraid I would say no since I had so much going on this week. He took me out to dinner, and then afterwards we went to a local restaurant/bar that we love going to together, had too many drinks and laughed our butts off! We had the best time just talking and catching up. He's definitely my soul mate!

Your hubby does rock! That is so incredible that your hubby believes in being equal in the home. Mine does too. So many men don't think the same way!

That is really creative to get you to go on a date! Sounds like you had a great time!
