How???
I can't even begin to describe the feelings that come with this milestone.
I remember the early ones and being SOOO excited that he would hit them earlier than the books would say he needed to (even other babies ;)
When he was holding his neck by himself, his first smiles, his first laughs, rolling over, sleeping through the night, sitting up, waving hello and bye, eating solids, saying his first words, recognizing mommy and daddy (and wanting us over other people :::swoon:::, getting his first teeth.
I remember his first steps at nine months. And him running by ten months!
I remember wanting these milestones to come and I couldn't wait for the next one.
But this one?
Yeah, not so much.
He's TEN.
In three years he could possibly be a pimply faced teenager who stinks without deoderant.
In six years he'll be able to drive - ALL.BY.HIMSELF.
In two years after that he'll be eighteen - the legal age to fight for our country.
And what sticks out in my mind is that each of those milestones will be here in less time than it took for him to hit this one.
My little baby is growing up so fast.
For his birthday this year he wanted to have an air soft war.
If you don't have older boys, air soft guns shoot gel coated BB's that don't hurt quite as bad as metal BB's...but they still leave a welt and hurt like crazy (yes, I know this from experience!).
He and his friends had a BLAST.
I have a ton of pictures on my other camera but the memory card is one that my printer & computer don't read, and I can't find the USB cord for it so they are kinda stuck on that memory card for now.
But here is one that says it all - you can tell they all had a great time!
