I said I was going to get better at updating my blog, trying for a daily update. Not going to happen.
But I have something I just had to put down so I didn't forget, like I do everything else I think is the most precious thing ever said by my children.
I don't know how we got on the subject of my babies growing up but Avery said "I hope Cole never grows up."
Of course I completely agreed with her, and I told little man it is because I won't be able to squeeze his cute, chubby cheeks (both sets, which got a giggle) anymore. Ohhhh, the heartbreak of seeing his chub disappearing!
Mr. Big Little Man - as he is affectionately called around here - proceeded to tell me that when he grows up he can be "anything he wants to be."
Can we say cutest.three.year.old.ever? I can :)
Then he listed off all the things he thought would be interesting - a builder (which always makes daddy feel good), a monster truck guy, police officer, garbage truck man (we'll have to talk about that one) and BATMAN. lol
As adorable as I thought all of the above was, my favorite came at the end.
He put his arm around my neck, as I was bent down listening to his sweet voice, and said "but I'll always be your baby, mommy."
Ok...off for more kleenex.
